SONG OF THE WEEK - "Panic"

Juniore is a French indie pop band formed in Paris in 2013. The group is led by singer/songwriter Anna Jean, daughter of French writer J.M.G. Le Clézio. The band's musical style is influenced by the music of the 1960s; the website AllMusic describes their music as mixing "modern indie pop sensibilities with elements of retro French pop, dark, twangy surf guitar, and a vocal style that falls somewhere between Cat Power and Françoise Hardy." J´ADORE PANIC!!!
Juniore es una banda francesa de indie pop formada en París en 2013. El grupo está dirigido por la cantante y compositora Anna Jean, hija del escritor francés J.M.G. Le Clézio. El estilo musical de la banda está influenciado por la música de la década de 1960; el site web AllMusic describe su música como una mezcla de "sensibilidades indie pop modernas con elementos de pop francés retro, twangy surf guitar, y un estilo vocal que se ubica entre Cat Power y Françoise Hardy ". Wow! Bells & Circles is the last collaboration track between Iggy Pop and Underworld. The song was recorded in London "during a  afternoon tea encouter", and features a spoken word performance by Iggy detailing the pros and cons of somoking on an aeroplane! No need more presentation! Just listen!

SONG OF THE WEEK - "By My Demon Eye"

Lovely voice and lovely song with exotic lyrics to reflect! 
This Is the Kit is the alias of British musician Kate Stables, who is based in Bristol and Paris. 
"While Kate Stables is beloved for the haunting Celtic tinged melodies and evocative lyrics, one of the most poignant moments on her new LP is taken from a far off land and sung in a language you're not likely to understand.
"By My Demon Eye"—a highlight from her fourth album, Moonshine Freeze—features a chorus from an African folk tale first unearthed by ethnomusicologist Hugh Tracey, whose work Stables studies and draws inspiration from. Those exotic lyrics detail a time honored tribal tale about a tortoise and a hare, the latter of whom tricks the former into visiting a miserable old woman who lures liars to her cauldron of scalding hot water. The repetitive portions of that foreign refrain describe the "boiling boiling boiling" water that the gullible turtle is being led toward.
The woman's boiling water honesty test resonated with Stables because, when she was writing it, she was "wrestling with the idea of honesty and the even the white lies we tell accidentally. It's about our relationship with the truth and how complicated that can be."

This Is The Kit es el nombre como es conocida la música británica Kate Stables, con sede en Bristol y París. 

"Mientras que Kate Stables es amada por las inquietantes melodías teñidas celtas y letras evocadoras, uno de los momentos más conmovedores en su nuevo LP es tomado de una tierra lejana y cantado en un idioma que eres no es probable que entienda "By My Demon Eye", un destacado de su cuarto álbum, Moonshine Freeze, presenta un coro de un cuento popular africano descubierto por el etnomusicólogo Hugh Tracey, cuyo trabajo Stables estudia e inspira. Esas letras exóticas detallan un cuento tribal de larga tradición sobre una tortuga y una liebre, el último de los cuales engaña al primero para que visite a una anciana miserable que atrae mentirosos a su caldero de agua hirviendo. Las partes repetitivas de ese estribillo extranjero describen el agua "hirviendo a ebullición hirviente" a la que se dirige a la tortuga crédula. "La prueba de honestidad de agua hirviendo de la mujer resonó con Stables porque, cuando estaba escribiéndola, estaba "luchando con la idea de la honestidad y las mentiras incluso las blancas que contamos accidentalmente.
